GrantServer provides its services to you, subject to the following Terms of Service ("TOS"), which may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you. By using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these TOS.

2. Description of Service

GrantServer offers an AI-powered federal grant search and analysis platform designed to support researchers, faculty, and academic institutions. These tools include, but are not limited to, grant search and filtering, AI-powered grant analysis and question answering, grant bookmarking and organization, and other research funding utilities.

3. Intellectual Property Ownership

Users retain full ownership of any content, including but not limited to queries, bookmarks, and other materials ("User-Generated Content") that they submit, post, generate, or display on or through the Service. GrantServer retains ownership of all platform technology, grant data aggregation systems, and service infrastructure.

4. Data Privacy

Other than your account details (name, email, password), your data you submit to GrantServer is not saved or stored on our server. AI queries and responses are processed in real-time and are never stored. Please see our Privacy Policy for complete details. We prioritize your privacy and ensure that any data processed through our service is handled with utmost confidentiality.

5. User Conduct

You understand that all information, data, text, and other materials ("Content"), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from whom such Content originated. You, and not GrantServer, are entirely responsible for all Content that you upload, post, email, transmit, or otherwise make available via the service. Users agree to use the service only for lawful purposes related to grant discovery and research funding.

6. No Resale of Service

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, resell, or exploit for any commercial purposes any portion of the service (including your user ID), use of the service, or access to the service without express written permission from GrantServer.

7. Modifications to Service

GrantServer reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that GrantServer shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

8. AI Service Disclaimer

The AI-powered analysis and question-answering features are provided as informational tools to assist with grant discovery and evaluation. AI responses should not be considered as professional grant writing advice, legal counsel, or official grant guidance. Users are solely responsible for verifying all information obtained through the AI features with official grant documentation and sources. GrantServer makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated responses for any particular purpose.

9. Accessibility

GrantServer is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards by maintaining keyboard navigation functionality, providing adequate color contrast, ensuring screen reader compatibility, supporting text resizing without loss of functionality, including alt text for images, and offering accessible form controls. 12. Age Restrictions

13. Third-Party Services

Our platform integrates with certain third-party services necessary for operation, including authentication services (Google, LinkedIn), AI processing services (OpenAI, Fireworks AI), and federal grant data sources (Grants.gov). All third-party providers must meet our security standards and comply with applicable privacy requirements. GrantServer is not responsible for the practices or policies of these third-party services.

14. Data Retention

GrantServer maintains a strict data retention policy. AI processing data is not retained in any form. Account information is retained only while the account is active. User bookmarks and preferences are retained until user deletion. Deleted accounts are permanently removed within 30 days. System logs are retained for security purposes for a maximum of 90 days.

15. Account Termination

You agree that GrantServer may, under certain circumstances and without prior notice, immediately terminate your account and access to the service. Cause for such termination shall include, but not be limited to, breaches or violations of the TOS or other incorporated agreements or guidelines, suspected fraudulent activity, or violation of applicable laws or regulations. Users may terminate their own accounts at any time by contacting support.

16. Third-Party Links

The service may provide, or third parties may provide, links to other websites or resources, including official grant websites and federal agency portals. Because GrantServer has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that GrantServer is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of such external sites or resources.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

You expressly understand and agree that your use of the service is at your sole risk. The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. GrantServer and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners, and licensors expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. GrantServer makes no warranty that the service will meet your requirements, that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any errors in the software will be corrected.

18. Limitation of Liability

You expressly understand and agree that GrantServer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses (even if GrantServer has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from the use or inability to use the service, unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data, or any other matter relating to the service.

19. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold GrantServer and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, employees, partners, and licensors harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the service, your violation of the TOS, or your violation of any rights of another user or third party.

20. Changes to Terms of Service

GrantServer reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms of Service on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Service.

21. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the United States for resolution of any disputes arising from these Terms.

22. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by GrantServer on the service, constitute the entire agreement between you and GrantServer concerning the service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between you and GrantServer with respect to the service.
